An American Modern Gothic Cherrywood and Paint-Decorated Rocking Chair, late 19th c., bearing stamp of George Hunzinger, New York, the rectangular back with a curved crest rail, square seat, flat arms connected by diagonal bracing continuous with the legs, cross stretchers and rockers, the whole having segmented bands interspersed with red paint, now with later twine-woven back and seat, height 32 1/2 in., width 18 in., depth 16 1/2 in.
