An American or English Carved and Polychromed Carousel Rooster, late 19th c., retaining the original paint surface, threaded with iron rod on a mounting plate, height 54 1/2 in., width 34 in., depth 7 1/2 in.
- Notes: Note: This form is often attributed to the English carver Charles Spooner (1871-1932). Spooner was the most productive and innovative of the English carousel carvers, earning himself the nickname "The King of Roundabouts".
