An American or English Painted Roundabout Chair, mid-18th c., scrolled continuous crest, pierced vasiform splats, turned tapered uprights, rush seat, blocked and turned legs, bulbous stretchers, ending in "Spanish" and turned feet.

  • Provenance: Provenance: Acquired by Miss Ima Hogg from Rudolph P. Pauly, Boston, MA, 1925; thence to Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, Bayou Bend Collection, gift of Miss Ima Hogg, 1969.
