An American Painted Cast Iron Clock in the Gothic Taste, c. 1850- 1860, possibly New York, the facade with painted and mother-of-pearl floral decoration on a black ground, marked "Pat. May 10, 1859", flanked by painted mahogany grained spires and surmounted by three Gothic arches, the base with a circular glass window showing a brass pendulum, contains printed label inside, height 17in., width 9.75in. depth 4.5in.
