Note: He eventually moved to New York where he received commissions to create sculptures of such luminaries as Henry Clay, Washington Allston, and Daniel Webster.
Clevenger's bust of Webster, as seen here, is considered the truest likeness and was used by the U.S. Post Office on its stamp honoring the great statesman.
