An American Pressed Glass Ribbon Pattern Compote, c. 1850, probably by Bakewell, Pears, and Co. of Pittsburgh, with a shallow circular bowl of clear and frosted glass on a frosted dolphin-form standard, height 9.5 in., diameter 10.5 in.; together with a rare American lacy pressed glass compote, c. 1830, the scalloped-edged bowl having a rayed pattern of alternating bands, of diamonds and flutes surrounded by a bullseye border set on a short baluster-form pedestal above a circular base with rows of geometric ornament, height 4 in., diameter 6.5 in., note: some loss to edge of base and small crack near center.
