- Provenance: Provenance: The Marinoni-Nolan House. No home in New Orleans has been the scene of more select gatherings and of more delightful hospitality than that of the Marinoni - Nolan home on Coliseum Street. With its lovely gardens and its stately design the family entertained with grace and pride for six generations. It has been in the family since 1881, when it was purchased by Ulisse Marinoni Sr. As an article in the New Orleans States from the 1920s commented, "No home...has more of the spirit of adolescence, looks fresher, brighter, or more captivating than the one now known as the Nolan Mansion on Coliseum Street..." Most recently the distinguished edifice was used as the principal location for the Oscar - winning movie "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button".
