An American Renaissance Carved Walnut and Burled Walnut Two-Piece Bedroom Suite, c. 1865, consisting of a dresser and a bedstead, the arched mirrored dresser surmounted by carved wings, a monumental anthemion and volute-carved cartouche, with roundel shelves and carved volute panels, an inset marble topped bank of drawers flanking the center inset marble with two long drawers below, retaining pendant pulls and panels; the bedstead with similarly carved wings and cartouche, an arched burled panel within a stepped molding, arched footboard with a round burled panel, faceted turned and finialed posts conforming scalloped rails, dresser height 107 in., width 63 in., depth 20 in., bed approximate height 87 in., width 61 in., length 76 in.
