An American Renaissance Inlaid, Ebonized and Gilt-Incised Walnut "Centennial" Center Table, c. 1876, attributed to Kilian Brothers, New York, the top inlaid with a bust of George Washington surmounted by eagles and two American flags, flanked by roundels "1776" and "1876", conforming apron; on trumpet legs, incurvate stretcher centered with a finial, turned feet, height 28 in., width 28 in., depth 19 in.
- Notes: Note: An inlaid walnut side table similar to this lot is attributed to Kilian Bros. (New York, 1856-c.1880) and illustrated in Dubrow, Styles of American Furniture 1860-1960, p. 47 Two tables, also attributed to Kilian Bros., with similar inlay were sold by Neal Auction Company as lot 88 on October 6, 2007 and lot 42 April 18, 2009 respectively.
