E1200-1800 Note: Two round top tables by Berkey and Gay, one conserved by the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the other by the Grand Rapids Public Museum each with a nearly identical musical troph‚e inlaid top and a pedestal base in similar manner to that of lot 282 are illustrated in Tracy, 19th c. American Furniture and Other Decorative Arts, pl. 185 and Dubrow, American Furniture of the 19th c., p. 184, respectively.
