An American Renaissance Inlaid, Ebonized, Burl and Carved Walnut Side Table, c. 1870-1880, the round top inlaid with a troph‚e of musical instruments on a turned standard with outswept brackets and legs hung with chains, height 28 in., width 22 in., depth 22 in. E1200-1800 Note: Two round top tables by Berkey and Gay, one conserved by the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the other by the Grand Rapids Public Museum each with a nearly identical musical troph‚e inlaid top and a pedestal base in similar manner to that of lot 282 are illustrated in Tracy, 19th c.
