An American Restauration Mahogany Server, c. 1835, attributed to Duncan Phyfe & Sons, New York, the later rectangular verde antico marble top above a frieze drawer, the scrolled supports mounted by bosses displaying highly figured mahogany veneers, the rectilinear stretchers joining pilasters, on convex faced block feet, height 34. 75in., width 40 in., depth 19 in. E2500-3500 Note: The table closely relates to a pier table illustrated in Nineteenth Century America: Furniture and Other Decorative Arts, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, pl. 80.
