An American Rococo Carved and Laminated Rosewood Meridienne, c. 1850- 60, attributed to John Henry Belter, New York, in a pattern commonly referred to as "Rosalie without Grapes", the arched scalloped back support centering fruit and floral crest, scrolled serpentine arms and seat rail, carved knee raised on cabriole legs, height 38 in., width 47 in., depth 19 in. E4000/6000 Provenance: Descended in a prominent New Orleans family.
