An American Rococo Carved and Laminated Rosewood Console, mid-19th c. attributed to J. and J.W. Meeks, the serpentine outlined and molded top above a foliate-pierced frieze centered by a shell-form cartouche the cabriole legs joined by a shaped central shelf with a carved apron and by a long conforming shelf, ending in scrolled feet, height 37 in., width 59 in., depth 23 in. E4000/6000 Note: The overall form is closely related to several laminated etageres most commonly attributed to the work of John and Joseph W. Meeks, New York.
