An American Rococo Carved Rosewood Center Table, attributed to J. & J.W. Meeks, New York, lacking marble, later serpentine wood top above a pierced fretwork skirt, leaf and scroll moldings below, rose carved cabriole legs with leaf carved toes, shaped leaf carved stretcher with oval plinth at center, "as is", found in "estate" condition, height 30 in., width 47 in., depth 30 in. Provenance: Collection of Col. Nathaniel H. R. Dawson, 1829-95, & 3rd wife, Elodie Breck Todd Dawson (1840-1877), (half sister of Mary Todd Lincoln), Selma, AL.
