Meeks, upholstered in attractive red damask, in the patterncommonly referred to as "Hawkins", sofa height 50in., width 65.5in., depth 32 1/2in., armchair height 48in., width 27in., depth 23in. E20000-30000 Note: A parlour suite in this pattern made by the Meeks firm for Sophia Teresa Meeks daughter of joseph) upon her marriage toDexter Hawkins is currently housed in the American Wing, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, and is the basis for determining a Meeks attribution.
