E12000/18000 Note: A most refined example of the pattern commonly to as Fountain Elms, this large sofa retains rich patina within carving of the highest quality. A smaller and less refined example is illustrated in The Furniture of John Henry Belter and the Rococo Revival, Schwartz, Stanek and True, page 62, pl. 35. Provenance: Nashville's Belle Meade Plantation. Also Exhibited at the Cheekwood Botanical Garden and Museum of Art.
