An American Rococo Rosewood Parlor Suite, mid-19th c., attributed to George Henckels, Philadelphia, comprised of a settee and a side chair the settee having an elaborately pierced and carved back with scrollwork and diapering, serpentine floral carved seat rail, scrolled arms, and cabriole legs with scrolled toes, sofa height 43 in., width 57 in., depth 19.5in. Note: recently upholstered in claret velvet.
