An American Silver Coffee Pot, Joseph & Nathaniel Richardson, Philadelphia, c. 1780, of elongated pear shape engraved with period monogram "INR" centered by engraved floral garland with a face at bottom and bird at top, the other side engraved with two fur-lined hands with the center fingers separated forming the letter V emanating from shaped cylindrical urn bearing floral engraving, pedestal foot, domed hinged cover, gadroon borders, shell-fluted swan-neck spout and spirally lobed and fluted baluster finial, wood-carved foliated scroll handle, marked on base I Nr conjoined in rectangle twice, bears central dot between maker's marks, height 12.5in., weight37 gross troy ozs.
