An Antique American "Rustic" Cast Iron Settee, c. 1860, the back and seat composed of naturalistic twigs, branches and leaves with shaped branchwork arms and legs, height 32 in., width 29 in., depth 23 in. E800-1200 Provenance: Gloucester Plantation, Natchez, Mississippi. Note: a similar settee is illustrated in Barbara Israel, Antique Garden Ornament, 1999, pg. 172.
