An Antique Patinated Bronze Figure of Cleopatra, cast signature "Gaston Leroux", approx. height 3 ft. 5in. E3500-5500 Provenance: Estate of Sylvester P. Walmsley to the Boston Club, New Orleans. Note Mr. Walmsley reigned as Rex in 1890 when the theme was "Rulers of Ancient Times'. Famed conquerors and monarchs in resplendent costumesformed a procession of historical interest, as illustrated in the ball invitation shown below. The sculpture was, no doubt, a lovely and timeless reminder of Mr. Walmsley's day as King.
