An Antique Regency-Style Carved, Painted and Gilt-Decorated Thuyawood Sideboard in the Adam Taste, c. 1880, stamped "Lamb Manchester 37253", egg and dart molded broken pediment centered with anthemion and rosette, tripartite mirror with anthemion, fluted, rosette and paint-decorated friezes, low shaped shelves, pair of pedestal end cabinets painted with oval reserves of Classical maidens, central glazed door and panels, blocked corners with gilt paterae, square tapered legs, lavishly decorated with gilt moldings, painted beribboned floral pendants and swags, height 126 in., width 79 in., depth 19 in.
- Notes: Note: The lower case of this sideboard is very similar to an inlaid server also made by Lamb of Manchester in the Carnegie Museum, Pittsburgh.
