An Early and Rare Newcomb College Art Pottery High Glaze Vase, c. 1895-1898, decorated by Mary Givens Sheerer in a stylized incised slip design of variegated arrowhead in green, white, yellow and black slip decoration, two handles extending upward from shoulder of vase, the base marked with rare "Newcomb College" stamp, decorator's mark, Joseph Meyer's early potter's mark and "Q" for buff clay body, height 9 in., diameter 7 in.
