An Early Newcomb College Art Pottery Vase, c. 1902, decorated by Irene Borden Keep with stylized foliage, high glaze with dark blue and green underglaze, marked with Newcomb cipher, decorator's mark, Joseph Meyer's potter's mark, reg. no. I 96, "U" for white clay body, and an "X" indicating that the piece was not for sale but was reserved for the decorator or college, height 3 in., diameter 5 in.
