An Edwardian Mahogany Drinks Cabinet, labeled "Mappin & Webb/ 1 Rue de la Paix/ Fabrication Anglais", hinged top opening to a well-fitted bar compartment with silverplate and glass utensils, including an ice bucket, citrus juicer, cocktail shaker, decanters and glasses, some hallmarked Mappin & Webb; over a long drawer, two doors enclosing a bottle drawer, square tapered legs with brass cuff casters, height 43 3/4 in., width 27 1/4 in., depth 19 1/4 in.
PLEASE NOTE: Provenance: Descended in the family of Grover A. Whalen (1886-1962), Madison, CT. Note: Found with vintage handwritten notes on stocking a bar for 78 people and recipes for Martini and Manhattan cocktails.
