An English Aesthetic Movement Ebonized and Parcel-Gilt Cabinet, c. 1870-1885, the locks stamped Hobbs & Co., London, in the manner of Bruce Talbert, the upper section centered by a bevelled glass mirror plate flanked by gilt raised panelled cabinet doors, displaying profile plaques of Byron and Shakespeare; the lower case containing a frieze drawer and fold-down cupboard door, a pair of leaded and stained glass doors of geometric design, the block form concave feet joined by spindled rails, height 58 in., width 59.5in., depth 16.5in.
