An English Aesthetic Movement Ebonized and Parcel-Gilt Cabinet, c. 1870-1885, the locks stamped "Hobbs & Co., London", in the manner of Bruce Talbert, the upper section centered by a bevelled glass mirror plate flanked by gilt raised paneled cabinet doors, displaying profile plaques of Byron and Shakespeare; the lower case containing a frieze drawer and fold-down cupboard door, a pair of leaded and stained glass doors of geometric design, the block form concave feet joined by spindled rails, height 58 in., width 59.5in.
