An English Gilt Bronze Encrier, mid-19th c., the base with pierced floral surround and scrolled handles, hinged central compartment with dolphin finial flanked by glass inkwells with copper liners, accompanied by two Victorian writing implements, one a retractable agate-mounted pencil engraved "Towson Ellis", the other a mother-of-pearl handled quill pen, height 5 1/2 in., width 14 3/4 in., depth 7 3/8 in. [Note: Lacking one pen rest mount.
