An English Regency Carved Mahogany and Leather Library Armchair, c. 1815-20, after a design by Karl Friedrich Schinkel (1751-1841), stamped "TB", scrolled uprights, padded arms, curule base, casters.
Note: The curved stiles, scrolled arms, and fans and bosses on the curule base of this chair are similar to a Classical armchair with bookstand by German Architect Karl Friedrich Schinkel (1781-1841).
