An English Sterling Silver and Parquetry Oval Gallery Tray, London, 1905, with reticulated sides, gadrooned edge, raised on four scroll feet, height 4.75 in., length 26.75 in., width 17.375 in. E1500-2500 Provenance: From the collection of Texas historian Walter Prescott Webb (1888-1963), who according to family history, acquired the tray from then-exiled Ethiopian Emperor Hailie Selassie I in 1942, when Webb was Harmsworth Professor of History at Oxford University, and neighbored the Emperor in a London hotel.
