E1500-2500 Provenance: From the collection of Texas historian Walter Prescott Webb (1888-1963), who according to family history, acquired the tray from then-exiled Ethiopian Emperor Hailie Selassie I in 1942, when Webb was Harmsworth Professor of History at Oxford University, and neighbored the Emperor in a London hotel.
