An Extensive Paris Porcelain Polychrome and Gilt Decorated Tea Service, mid-19th c., the major pieces labeled "Schoelcher" in underglaze black, deep cream-colored panels with gilt and royal blue banding, comprising 8 cake plates, 8 tea cups and saucers, lidded butter dish (with variant finial) incorporating mazarine, teapot, creamer, lidded sugar, large waste bowl and a pair of large serving plates, diameter 9 1/4 in., teapot height 6 1/4 in. Note: The butter dish and serving plates possibly from an associated dinner service.
