An Important American Rococo Carved and Laminated Rosewood Méridienne, mid-19th c., attributed to John Henry Belter, New York, the distinctive reticulated crest with floral cluster, oak leaves, "S" scrolls, vines and grape cluster, serpentine seat rail, shaped arms, foliate and floral-carved cabriole legs, casters, height 38 in., width 42 in., depth 24 1/2 in.
