An Italian Patinated Bronze Figure of "Minerva Giustiniani ", early-to-mid 20th c., after the Roman marble found in the Temple of Minerva Medica on the Esquiline Hill in Rome, now in the Vatican Museum (itself a copy of the Greek original believed to be by Pheidias), the goddess depicted with her usual attributes of lance, owl and snake (representative of Erichthonius, Athena's foster son).
