Andrew Jackson, Seventh President Autograph letter signed, 21-2 pages Hermitage, dated March 16, 1809 To Mr. Abner Barker, Pittsburgh, State of Pennsylvania with faint Nashville frank on integral address leaf heavily browned . The future Hero of the Battle of New Orleans and seventh President of the United States writes concerning 819 acresof land owned jointly by Barker and Lydia and William Butler. Jackson writes as guardian of the Butlers and discusses interest to be chargedand further observes that a draft has been returned. He also relates that He has provided "power of attorney and that He will consult with Miss Lydia and will write to William at his school in Lexington.
