Attributed to George Harrison Hite (American, 1807-1880), "Captain Louis Coxetter" and "Ferdinand Coxetter", both miniature watercolors on ivory, inscribed "painted by George Hite, Donaldsonville, April 1830" en verso of one of 1848-49, depicting Louisiana brothers who traveled to California during the Gold Rush, each 3 in. x 2 1/2 in., in period recessed frames.
