Carolyn Ramsey (American/Louisiana, 20th c., active New Orleans, 1930 1960), "Cypress" and "Cajun Family on their Houseboat, probably Bayou Laforche", two vintage silver gelatin prints, sight 7.5in. x 9 in., and 10.75in., x 11.5in. respectively, framed alike. E400/600 Note: Carolyn Ramsey spent her professional career photographing Southern Louisiana for the U.S. State Department's International Information Agency as well as for the Saturday Evening Post and numerous other magazines. Ramsey's book Cajuns on the Bayou, which featured many of her photographs, was published in 1957. A large selection of Ramsey's films are in the collection of the Louisiana State Museum.
