A Rare Victorian Cast Iron and "Pearl Painted" Eglomise Tea Table, mid-19th c., probably English, the tilt-top centering a reserved cluster of grapes; iron foliate support, conforming quadrupedal base, height 27 in., diameter 21 in Note: "Pearl Painting" was introduced c. 1850. It was a technique in which flowerrs were painted on the reverse side of glass in transparent oil stains. The flowers were the backed with crushed tin foil to create a glimmery effect.
