Cesare Lapini (Italian, 1848-after 1894), 'Bust of a Wood Nymph', white Carrara marble signed and dated Florence 1894 on reverse truncation, the maiden's luxuriant tresses tied with a bow, her breast and shoulder festooned with leafing and flowered branches, height 23 in., width 15 in., depth 12 in. E6000-9000 Provenance: Estate of Lt. Colonel Chester H. Clark, USAF Ret. Lt. Colonel Clark's mother was an opera singer in Chicago and the bust was given to her by the Chicago Opera House. The proceeds of this sale will benefit the Pensacola Opera House.
