[Charles X ANS An autograph note signed by Charles Philippe (1757- 1836), as Count of Artois, on a letter signed by Col C Ferdinand de Berthier, dated October 31, 1815, and also having a note signed by Count de Damas-Crux, the letter by Berthier requests a position, reviewing his career, the notes by Philippe and Damas-Crux, recommending him E400-600 Note: Charles X (Charles Philippe) was King of France (1824-1830), grandson of Louis XV and brother of both Louis XVI and Louis XVIII He was forced into exile and abdicated in 1830, living his life in Scotland and later in Prague.
