A Chinese Partial Glazed Pottery Figural Censer, Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) or earlier, central waisted square form vessel raised on four zoomorphic cabriole legs, modeled with eight figures, probably the Eight Daoist Immortals, flanking the sides and front, green and yellow glaze highlights, height 4 7/8 in., width 8 1/2 in., later custom fitted wood stand and cover, overall height 7 1/8 in., width 9 1/4 in., Note: restoration Provenance: Acquired c. 1920s-1930s; thence by descent in the family of Madelyn Cohn Cahn Conne Kiam Kreisler (b. 1890, New Orleans - d. 1975, New York).
