A Chinese Polychrome and Gilt Painted Pottery Figure of a Maiden, probably Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), reclining figure modeled resting one arm on a pillow, height 7 in., width 9 1/4 in., mounted to a rectangular wood plinth, overall height 7 1/2 in., width 10 in. Note: Figure's head has been detached and reglued Provenance: With Benjamin Franklin March, Jr. (1899-1934), Curator of Asiatic Ar t, Detroit Institute of Arts (1927-1931); thence by descent in his family.
