A Chinese Turquoise Green Glazed Ceremonial Wine Pot, probably Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) or earlier, heavily potted globular body with a grooved arc handle raised on a splayed foot, with applied scrollwork decoration and an emerald green glaze, height 6 1/2 in., note: lacking spout . Provenance: Acquired in China 1960s by members of the U.S. State Department; thence to current owner, c. 1989
