- Notes: Note: This very tender allegorical picture symbolizes the celebrated "meeting of the Christ Child and the Infant Baptist", whose symbol is of course the Lamb. The very fine treatment of the landscape, with its evocation of the 23rd Psalm, and the accomplished anatomy of the Child, point to a master hand.
