Continental School, late 19th/early 20th c., "Portrait of a Hereditary Officer, probably Friedrich Augustus, Grand Duke of Oldenberg", oil on canvas, 25 in. x 22 in., in the original giltwood frame Note: Frederick Augustus II was a member of the Holstein-Gottorp branch of the House of Oldenburg, and the last ruling Grand Duke of Oldenburg forced to abdicate his rule at the close of WWI when the German Empire was dissolved.
