Continental School, Possibly German or Austrian, 'The Empress Eugenie Surrounded by Her Maids', after Franz Xavier Winterhalter (German, 1805-1873), enhanced print with highlights in oil and pastel mounted in a rectangular inlaid ivory frame, sight 5.25in. x 8 in. Note: The original composition painted by Winterhalter in 1855, today hangs in the Musee National Du Chƒteau de Compiegne.
