Count Antonio Copolla (Italian, b. 1839), 'Capri Sunset with a View of the Faraglioni', watercolor on board, signed lower right, sight 12 875in. x 23.5in., in an antique gilt frame. Note: The Faraglioni are among the most famous geographic features on the southern coast of the island of Capri. Since the Romans these three massive rocks ( approximately 100 meters high) have been renowned as a picturesque locale having survived landslides, erosion from the sea and atmospheric deterioration.
