Elizabeth Balfour Raymond (American/New Orleans, 1904-1986, active Newcomb College, 1926-1948), "Magnolias", watercolor, signed lower right, sight 15 in. x 19 in., in a period frame. E800-1200 Note: Elizabeth Raymond studied watercolor painting with Ellsworth Woodward at Newcomb College. She furthered her art education at the Chicago Art Institute, Columbia University and in Europe. An active member of the New Orleans art community, she exhibited regularly with the Arts and Crafts Club, the New Orleans Art Association and the Southern States Art League.
