A West Indies Carved Mahogany or Tropical Hardwood Server or Huntboard, 19th c., probably Jamaica, molded top over reeded frieze, a single drawer to one end, tall ring turned legs, height 42 7/8 in., width 59 in., depth 24 1/4 in Note: The versatility of small serving tables in the tradition of the George III huntboards made them popular in the West Indies for indoor and outdoor use. The reeded frieze and tall turned legs on this lot are found on other examples illustrated in Conners. Carribean Elegance, pp 34, 112 and 113.
