Frank Joseph Girardin (American-Kentucky, 1856-1945), 'Louisiana Bayou', oil on board, signed lower left, sight 5.5 in. x 9.75 in., in a period frame. E1000-1500 Note: Louisville, Kentucky artist, Frank Girardin studied with Frank Noble, and later with Frank Duveneck, at the Cincinnati Art Academy. A semi-pro baseball player, Girardin exhibited his appealing landscape paintings widely in the Midwest at venues including the Cincinnati Art Club and Richmond Art Association of Indiana.
