Frank Swift Chase (American, 1886-1958), "Summer Landscape", oil on board, 12 in. x 16 in., signed lower left, attractively framed.
- Notes: Note: Chase studied at the Art Students League in New York (where his older brother was also a student) and at the Art League School of Landscape Painting in Woodstock under Birge Harrison and John Carlson. He was one of the founders of the Woodstock Artist's Association, and was central to that area becoming a true artist's colony. Chase exhibited at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, the Corcoran Gallery, the Salmagundi Art Club, and the Art Institute of Chicago.
