E700-900 Note: Emile Waldteufel was a French composer of popular music as well as waltzes and polkas during the late 19th Century in Paris. He studied piano at the Conservatoire de Paris and was renowned for his compositional abilities as well as his virtuoso talents, performing for various nobles and heads of state such as the Prince of Wales and Queen Victoria. Waldteufel was the official court pianist of Empress Eugenie.
